Founded in 2014 by boating enthusiasts and long-time island residents Charlie Veale and Alessandra Grisoni, our passion for the sea, water sports and sharing unforgettable experiences with top-level service is behind everything we do.
Today our fleet consists of more than 50 speedboats and yachts, all of which are owned by Smart Charter Ibiza. This means that we can offer the smoothest possible Ibiza yacht rental booking process to our clients as well as maintain and service our boats to the highest standard with the help of our skilled in-house mechanics.
At Smart Charter Ibiza, we pride ourselves on creating a completely personalised yacht charter experience for you. Our young and dynamic team is made up of Ibiza residents passionate about boating and watersports who will happily share their favourite spots and insider tips with you! Each staff member is fluent in English and Spanish, while our office team also speaks German and French.
In 2018, Smart Charter Ibiza partnered with U.S. company Boatsetter, a global online booking platform for boat charters that has helped us to expand our reach beyond Europe and into the American market.

Growing up in Ibiza from the tender age of one month old, I developed my passion for yachts when I met Charlie.
Creating and building Smart Charter Ibiza has provided me with more education than my countless years at school.

I was first attracted to Ibiza whilst living in Miami and working in the field of law. Having so many similarities I quickly felt at home and fell in love with this magical island. I now take care of all enquiries within the business and make sure our customers are always taking away with them an experience worth sharing.

Leaving my home country of Lithuania I travelled to Ibiza seeking a new life and looking to apply my studies in business management. I have been a part of the SCI team since its early days and now utilise my skills to ensure our VIP markets discerning needs are always met.

From the first moment I arrived on the island four years ago I knew this would be the right place for me. Thanks to Smart Charter Ibiza I have grown occupationally and I have developed a passion for boats. Now I handle all the paperwork for the company and keep things on an even keel.

Originally from Valencia, Pedro left his career in banking and team management to follow his passion for the sea. He moved to the White Isle especially to come and work with Smart Charter and has been with us for seven years!
It’s Pedro’s job to make sure everything runs smoothly – not an easy task in the height of summer!
